What’s new?

I’ve been really negligent with this blog/website! The Etsy shop launched in April, sales are coming along, but I definitely have not been devoting as much time as I should to it. If you want to check it out the link is: etsy.ca/shop/whoa4baby

What’s been keeping me so busy? A very active toddler, a baby on the way in January, and the final course for me to complete my Masters Program! For the past two months I have also been prepping for the upcoming Little Owl Kids Fair on the 19th of November from 10 am-5 pm at the Uptown Shopping Centre in Victoria, BC. I have sewn a bunch of new monkey butt pants/Maxaloones that will be launched at the fair. If any remain after, I will be taking pictures and listing them to the Etsy shop. Some of the new prints exclusive to the show are shown below in the pictured Squishiloones (size 0-3 months) that will be available. Stars, airplanes, splish splash and horses.

Sewing, sewing, sewing

whoa4baby will soon launch on Etsy! I don’t know the exact date yet as we are still waiting on our CA number for our clothing tags, then we need to order the tags… and then I need to sew them all in… but… pictures are taken, descriptions are written and everything is ready to go as soon as we get our new tags. If you didn’t know, all textiles in Canada require a permanent tag (with some exemptions), and since I didn’t want to design, print, sew, etc all of the required tags, we will be using another Etsy shop to print them for us. In the meantime here is a sneak peak of some of the items that will soon be available on our Etsy site, as well as the link for my first ever official blog post on L’Oiseau Fabrics! If you haven’t checked them out yet, you should; I order most of my knit fabric used in my monkey butt pants (Maxaloones) and they’re Canadian too!

I don’t make anything that I wouldn’t put on my little one. Having a baby inspired me to sew differently and branch out into upcycled clothing and custom items. Feel free to browse what is available, or contact me for custom orders. You can see me in person at the Sooke Region Museum Thursday Night Markert July 16th, August 6th and 27th.
